I think the death toll from this is going to be in the tens of thousands...and it's going to take DECADES to rebuild all this, they literally have ZERO infrastructure now, and this is poor country, nobody coming to save them. There will be the initial clutching of the pearls, donations sent, people claiming they care but when the media stops reporting on them in a few weeks they will be abandoned to their fates...may God have mercy on the children and lessen their suffering...
At least 31 people were reported dead after a flash flood surged into Nepal from Tibet along the Bhote Koshi River at around 09:00 LT (03:15 UTC) on August 26, 2026, and swept through Rasuwa and downstream districts. Authorities were verifying the whereabouts and safety of 384 travelers, including 105 Indian nationals and 37 non-resident Indians, as roads, bridges and power infrastructure sustained major damage.
