Apparently built some time in the 1700s but there was never an official opening nor are there any paintings or etchings of it's construction. I find it interesting they documented everything from their military exploits to their explorations and yet literally no painter recorded the building of these magnificent structures. Interestingly "house portraits" were all the rage in the 1700s too and yet no paintings or etchings of their construction exists at all either.
Then we have the supposed builder of the Champs-Élysées, André Le Nôtre.
