Advanced Weapons Deal (2026): Reports indicate a million deal signed in December 2025, where Russia will provide 500 "Verba" portable air defense units and 2,500 "9M336" missiles to Iran.

Iran signs 'secret' $700m deal for Russian air defence systems, reports say

Iran has reportedly signed a secret arms deal with Russia to acquire thousands of advanced shoulder-fired missiles to help boost its air defences.

Russia has a Military Pact with Iran, they literally only signed a deal with Putin for an advanced weapons system on the 25th of March, three days before they attacked Iran. Also China is not going to be happy with the Straight of Hormuz being closed as 80% of their oil goes through there. Just because the media are ignoring the reactions of Russia and China doesn't mean they haven't responded or will not respond in the future.

Russia on Saturday condemned the U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran as “a preplanned and unprovoked act of armed aggression against a sovereign and independent U.N. member state,” demanding an immediate halt to the military campaign and a return to diplomacy.

It warned the attacks risked triggering a "humanitarian, economic and possibly radiological catastrophe" in the region and accused the U.S. and Israel of "plunging the Middle East into an abyss of uncontrolled escalation."

Russia's Foreign Ministry also condemned what it called "the serial nature of destabilizing attacks carried out by the U.S. administration," accusing the U.S. of attacking "the international legal pillars of the world order."
