A female student was killed and another student has been wounded during a shooting in a high school cafeteria in Nashville.
The 17-year-old shooter, who was also a student at Antioch High School, later shot and killed himself on Wednesday (Thursday AEDT), Metro Nashville Police spokesperson Don Aaron.

The attack happened outside Fillary’s home on Westover View in Bramley on June 10, 2022.
Judge Neil Clark said: “The complainant came to retrieve a gazebo. The rights and wrongs of whether it was his to take are irrelevant.
“The injury was truly horrendous and he was initially in a life-threatening condition, having lost a lot of blood through the wound.”

A Life Sentence was today handed to a 35-year old man who admitted murdering a "defenceless" two-year old girl in Dungannon. Moroccan asylum seeker Ahmed Alid, 45, roamed the streets in Hartlepool looking for a victim to attack in "revenge" for the Israel-Hamas conflict in October.
He killed 70-year-old Terence Carney by stabbing him multiple times.
Sentencing Alid for life on Friday, the judge said the killer had "hoped to frighten the British people and undermine the freedoms they enjoy".
