The study, published in Jama Internal Medicine, warns that CT scans performed in the US in 2023 alone could eventually lead to over 100,000 extra cancer cases. If the current rate of scanning continues, the researchers say CT scans could be responsible for around 5% of all new cancers diagnosed each year. ....anybody really surprised that it's just a self perpetuating doom loop by design? Unfortunately I had to have these scans last week.
