The Appalachian Abomination - A People Abandoned

This unfolding tragedy and humanitarian crisis needs it's own category. Hurricane Helene dumped an entire ocean of water on the tops of the Appalachian Mountains and completely washed away thousands and thousands of people many many who are still unaccounted for. Entire communities of businesses and houses were literally washed away in a mountain tsunami and unfortunately there were also chemical plants in these areas which were also washed away and the toxic shit from these places has contaminated everything (Update: Radioactive contamination recently confirmed - SEE VIDEO)

FEMA and any government assistance in rebuilding roads, bridges and removing debris/toxins from people's houses/properties/industrial areas is non existent. These people are relying solely on volunteers and church groups to co-ordinate the recovery and they keep pleading for more volunteers. They are getting plenty of donations to the point of them struggling to store it because they can't distribute it all fast enough without more volunteers.

Out of 220 million Christian Americans how many Christian Boomers are there with empty camper vans they're not using who could donate it to a family for winter. ..as the Sacred Texts say "they are so blind in their hearts."

If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. - 1 John 3:16-18

Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow. - Isaiah 1:17

Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy. - Proverbs 31:8-9

Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God. - Proverbs 14:31

“How long will you defend the unjust and show partiality to the wicked? Defend the cause of the weak and the fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.” - Psalm 82:2-4

To make matters even more dire these people are about to face a very brutal winter, maybe even a Mighty Winter and it starts with the first of the Arctic blast to hit them tomorrow (Monday 1st Dec) so they need to get them warm shelter, at present there are estimates that around 800 are still living in tents. God have mercy on these souls.

These are some of the channels I'm watching to keep up to date on what's happening since none of the main stream media are reporting on this (This video is a most recent report by Travis, he's been on site reporting what's happening in this disaster area along side search and rescue teams looking for the remains of the missing residents of these areas then families can get some closure and be issued a death certificate)

Christian Appalachian Channel focused on helping individual families, the churches are doing the majority of the coordinating with food, supplies, heaters etc. He's a Trumper though and you are going to see a broken man in the next few months when his orange jesus isn't any better or less corrupted than the wandering potato was.

Young American journalist documenting the stories of the survivors, she does a pretty good job giving these people a voice to relay their experiences to other Americans and show them how these floods from Helene devastated so many families.

Another Christian guy working to co-ordinate the recovery effort and giving on location updates every day.

Would be good to see a Christian group organize a camper convoy and get a heap of campers down to these people at least for the winter, after then they will know their situation more clearly and can organize to relocate. I don't support rebuilding on the same areas that were just flooded either as some are doing, that is just insanity. These events are going to continue happening more often, if the jet stream sent a slow moving hurricane towards them this time then it can happen again.

So all the folks in this area and lamenting FEMA's absence in helping them recover/rebuild after Hurricane Helene. Well the thing is, FEMA is there, they're just not helping them rebuild their homes in a dangerous flood zone which is now completely contaminated with industrial chemicals and toxins including radioactive material. FEMA are quietly building FEMA camps for these residents to be relocated to, they all think that Trump is coming to help them rebuild, yeh he's going to help them rebuild somewhere else and in the meantime they'll be living in a FEMA Camp...and he's not doing it because he cares about them, he's just going to use the excuse of it being a flood zone and contaminated so he can open it up to the mining companies.
