Jesus was not a real historical figure, it saddens me to see so many deceived into worshipping an idol they don't even truly understand. Jesus the Christ symbolizes the first born divine son of God, other cultures use different names for the first born divine son such as Horus, Krishna, Thor, Shiva, Apollo, Mars, Hercules etc etc..

As Jesus is only a symbol the saying of “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." ...does not just pertain to Christianity, it is describing a divine operation that is present in every culture, though just expressed differently through their own parables and symbolic names.

Modern Christians have created this romantic idealistic fantasy of who they believe Jesus is and then they engage in a kind of giddy teenage puppy love romance with him.

Jesus never wanted human praise, he never called himself God and he never wanted to be worshipped. He literally said, I don't care about your worship of me.

“I don't care about human praise” - John 5:41

He also says, why do you treat me as though I am equal to God when only God the Father is good.

"Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good--except God alone." - Mark 10:18

But they ignore their Christ King for the feel good teachings of their priests even though they were warned the clergy would become corrupted and only pretend to be apostles of Christ.

For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve. - 2 Corinthians 11: 13-15
