Remains of St. Francis to be visible for veneration in Assisi
Come and ogle the rotting corpse of St Francis of Assisi, the Catholic Church once again confirming they are worshippers of death and the material world.
From Sunday, February 22, until March 22, in the lower church of the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi, pilgrims will be able—for the first time—to pray before the Saint's remains, as 2026 marks the 800th anniversary of his death.
